I have never had a problem at all when visiting the surgery. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I have sometimes had to wait quite a long time to see a doctor, but realise the doctors are very busy and it isn't their fault. A small point - could a clock be installed in the waiting room?

On the whole good. I know the staff are very aware of the problems and are doing their best to resolve difficulties but it is a delicate balancing act.

I think the appointments system has been worked out very well, especially when I hear people from other surgeries complaining how difficult it is to get an appointment. I have recently thought of two suggestions: 1. would it be a good idea for people who go for repeat prescriptions for blood pressure to record their bp on the 'pod' in the waiting room even though they are not going to see the Doctor? 2. I have a cataract. When I made an appointment (private) to get my eyes tested, because I was concerned about driving, the oculist said if I could read down to a certain line my eyesight was alright for driving. Could there be some sort of eyesight self-test (for driving purposes) in the waiting room. If we could not see a certain line on the chart we would know to make an appointment with the doctor.
